Eyebrow transplant is a specialized hair restoration procedure designed to enhance, reshape, or reconstruct eyebrows by transplanting healthy hair follicles from a donor area, typically the back of the scalp, to the eyebrow region.
Using advanced techniques like Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), individual hair follicles are carefully harvested and implanted to ensure natural growth and appearance. The procedure is minimally invasive, performed under local anesthesia, and tailored to each patient’s desired eyebrow shape and density.
Advanced Eyebrow Restoration
At our clinics, eyebrow transplants are performed with meticulous precision, as eyebrows require far more attention to detail than scalp hair. Each hair must be placed at the correct angle, direction, and density to achieve a natural and symmetrical result. We offer two advanced eyebrow transplant techniques: Sapphire FUE Eyebrow Transplant and Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant.
1-Sapphire FUE Eyebrow Transplant
The Sapphire FUE eyebrow transplant is one of the most reliable and widely preferred techniques for eyebrow restoration.
Hair follicles are taken from the donor area at the back of the head, where the hair texture is most suitable for a natural eyebrow transplant. A small section of the donor area is trimmed and can be easily hidden by surrounding hair, while the eyebrow area may or may not be trimmed depending on the patient’s needs. Each follicle is carefully extracted and processed under a microscope into single-hair grafts, which is essential for creating natural-looking eyebrows. Using sapphire blades, precise micro-channels are opened, and each graft is implanted one by one with full control over angle and direction. Because eyebrow transplantation requires extreme precision, the procedure typically takes 6–7 hours.
Benefits of Sapphire Blade Incisions
- Sharper and smoother incisions compared to traditional steel blades
- Minimal tissue trauma, reducing damage to surrounding skin
- Faster healing and quicker recovery
- Lower risk of scarring
- Allows for more precise channel opening, which helps achieve the correct eyebrow angle and direction
- Contributes to a denser and more natural result
2-Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant?
A Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant is an advanced technique where the surgeon extracts and implants hair follicles without trimming the donor hairs short.
The hairs are kept long during extraction and implantation, allowing both the surgeon and the patient to immediately visualise. The Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant technique is an advanced option for patients who wish to see an immediate preview of their eyebrow shape.
Benefits of Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant
- Instant visual preview of the final eyebrow appearance
- No shaving of the donor area
- Ideal for patients who want to maintain their hairstyle without visible trimming
- Highly precise placement with direct control over eyebrow shape
- Particularly suitable for patients who are detail-oriented about eyebrow design
Sapphire FUE vs Long Hair Eyebrow Transplant
Both eyebrow transplant techniques use carefully prepared single-hair grafts to achieve natural and permanent results.
The main difference between the two methods is the immediate appearance after the procedure.
In a Sapphire FUE eyebrow transplant, short grafts are implanted, so the final eyebrow shape becomes visible only after the healing and regrowth phase.
In a Long Hair eyebrow transplant, grafts with long hair shafts are implanted, allowing patients to see an instant preview of their eyebrow shape immediately after the procedure.

What is the cost of an eyebrow transplant?
The cost of an eyebrow transplant in the UK typically ranges from £1,500 to £4,000, depending on the clinic, technique used, and the number of grafts required. The long hair eyebrow transplant is a specialised method that not every clinic or specialist can offer. Regardless of the technique, even though eyebrow transplants require relatively few grafts, the procedure still takes around 5–7 hours due to the highly detailed and delicate nature of the work.
We offer fixed pricing for eyebrow transplants, which includes the consultation, the full procedure, aftercare, and all necessary support — with no hidden fees.

Note: It is normal to experience temporary shedding after an eyebrow transplant. New growth typically begins in the following months as part of the natural hair cycle.
Eyebrow Transplant Aftercare
Proper aftercare following an eyebrow transplant is essential to support graft survival and achieve optimal, natural-looking results. In the early postoperative period, the transplanted area should be kept clean and protected to allow the follicles to stabilise. Mild redness, swelling, and micro-scabbing are normal and typically resolve within the first 7–10 days.
Patients are advised to avoid makeup application, direct sun exposure, excessive sweating, and strenuous physical activity during the initial healing phase. Prescribed medications and aftercare products should be used as directed to reduce the risk of infection and support skin recovery. Temporary shedding of transplanted eyebrow hairs within the first month is expected and does not affect the final outcome. New, permanent eyebrow hair growth usually begins after 3–4 months, with full results visible within 9–12 months.

Eyebrow Transplant Timeline
Regardless of the technique used, the healing process is similar. Proper aftercare is essential for natural, long-lasting results. Mild numbness or swelling may appear in the first few days and usually settles within a week. Small scabs around the transplanted area typically disappear by the second week.
Days 4–7:
Scabs begin to fall off naturally. Redness reduces. Most people feel comfortable returning to daily activities.
Weeks 2–4:
Transplanted hairs start to shed (shock loss). The eyebrow area may look patchy — this is expected.
Months 2–3:
Dormant phase. Little visible growth as new hairs start forming beneath the skin.
Months 3–6:
New eyebrow hairs begin to grow. Shape and density gradually improve.
Months 6–12:
Eyebrows thicken, mature, and soften into their final natural appearance.
Recovery takes patience, but the results are worth it. We provide expert care throughout.
Eyebrow Transplant – FAQ
What is special about the eyebrow transplant technique?
Eyebrow transplant uses advanced FUE methods to precisely extract and implant hair follicles. This ensures natural hair direction, density, and a seamless look that blends perfectly with existing eyebrows.
Is an eyebrow transplant suitable for me?
Ideal for enhancing thin, patchy, or uneven eyebrows, or creating a fuller, well-shaped look. A consultation will assess your hair type and donor area to confirm suitability.
Is one session enough to achieve the desired eyebrow?
Most patients achieve their desired results in a single session, but this depends on donor hair availability and treatment area size. Personalized recommendations are provided during consultation.
Is shedding after an eyebrow transplant normal?
Yes. Around two weeks post-procedure, transplanted hairs may fall out. New, stronger hairs then grow over the following months, resulting in permanent and natural-looking eyebrows.
